A Romanian architect have been giving ‘not-so-tall’ women a boost with shoes he designed whose heels promise to increase the wearer’s height by 12 inches.
Mihai Albu’s shoes offer heels that are twice the height of those on the market. His shoes are expensive, each selling for up to €1,200.
“Heels have an advantage because (many women) don’t have long legs,” said Mr Albu.
“They reposition the waist.”
The designer blends math, architecture, and arts in his creations. The material he used on his lovely towering shoes is French leather and he encrusts it with jewels, feathers and mirrors.
“I am creating a constructed chaos,” he said, describing his extravagant sandals in architectural terms.
