
Scientists discovered that aside from blueberry’s reputation as a rich source of antioxidants it also improves memory.
The study was conducted by having two groups of volunteers in their 70s with early memory decline. The first group drank 2 – 2.5 cups of a blueberry juice every day for two months. The other group drank a beverage without blueberry juice.
The scientists discovered that the blueberry juice group showed improvement on learning and memory tests.
This study was published in ACS’ Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
