Korean artist Kwang-Ho Lee’s recent creation is currently on view until May 16, 2010 at Kukje Gallery in Seoul.
In his latest work, cactus and landscape series, Lee experimented with different techniques like rubbing of the paintbrush and scratching making the cactus seem like a type of abstraction.
“The artist has attempted to create not only a realistic transfer of the subject onto the canvas but to investigate the fundamental question of painting – the act of painting itself,” Designboom said pertaining to the artist’s technique.
