Frances Cooley, a confectioner, fulfilled every woman’s fantasy by launching a range of designer shoes made from chocolate.

Mrs. Cooley, who owns Clifton Cakes in Bristol, created a collection of shoes with varying designs like animal prints and polka dot versions.

The fashionable treats, which she makes by hand in her kitchen, are being supplied to more than 25 local boutiques and delis.

“People are wowed about them because it’s the perfect gift for a woman – chocolate and stiletto shoes put together.

“They’ve been selling like hot cakes. This past year sales have been incredible,” said Mrs. Cooley.
