Mozilla launched the latest version of the popular web-browser Firefox.
The 3.6 version of Firefox introduces cutting-edge features like improved Javascript performance and startup time, support for new DOM and HTML5 specifications, support for new CSS attributes (i.e. gradients, background sizing, and pointer events), and protection from out-of-date-plugins.
This new version is built on Mozilla’s Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering platform which has many improvements for web developers, add-on developers, and users.
Mozilla also claims that this version is faster and more responsive than previous versions. Below is a video with Mike Beltzner, Director of Firefox Development, talking about what’s new in Firefox 3.6.
