Marvelous Marcus

Had a long and tiring day. I’m too exhausted to function when I got home. I had dinner with my roommate and after that, I forced myself to play my violin.

Violin-mood not that okay, I started tuning the instrument and attached the shoulder rest on its body as I’m about to start. I did scale exercises first then played song #1, Concerto No. 2, 3rd Movement, in Suzuki violin Method Volume 4. I’ve been doing that piece for two months now but my playing is nowhere perfect yet. That’s just sad. I’m having a hard time now playing book 4 pieces but I really wanted to be good in playing the violin so I guess I have to take on it. To make things worse, I’m still sticker-dependent. I’m out of tune if you remove my ever trusted stickers. I made an attempt once and the result was disaster.

So anyway, back on my playing.. I played that particular piece twice, repeating the parts I had difficulty with then moved on to the next piece in the book, Concerto No.5, 1st Movement. As expected this piece is harder but my mood suddenly changed and I wasn’t able to track time. Before I knew it, it was 10 pm already. I started at around 8 I guess. I feel dull pain on my legs standing for a few hours and it was just then that I realized that I’m too tired already. This instrument has amazing effects on me, well I guess to most people, it calmed my senses and relaxed my mind.

I would want to go on with my playing but I just remembered I haven’t updated my site. And besides I’m starting to have this paranoia again that someone is wailing near me or someone just walked by my side… Scary!! Silly me! I know! So I headed upstairs and started writing.
