Unnamed Rainfall

Large parts of Metro Manila is now flooded and the rain just wont stop. It was even reported to continue for the next two days. Pictures being uploaded on facebook display not only brown-to-black colored water, most of them features floating garbages.

I think a lot are affected by what is currently happening. People are expressing feelings of concern even anxiety. I feel for these people. I just hope that everytime they will mindlessly throw their trash they will be reminded by such a frightening feeling.

I’m not being cruel. I just really wanted my country to have a proper waste management and I think the government has already programs for that. People will just have to follow and be really disciplined in managing their wastes.

We cannot control how much rain should be poured down on us but we can do something to lessen the gravity of the aftereffect of calamities like this. First it was Ondoy and now this unnamed disaster. When will we ever learn?
