Baking Mud Pie

Since I’m a little excited to try my new cake pan, I browsed my sweet book for a recipe to bake. Leafing through the pages, I found the Mississippi Mud Pie baking procedure to be quite easy and the ingredients easy to find. Plus, the picture on the books looks really enticing.

Aladdin The Musical Review

Last December 7 I had the privilege to watch the musical adaptation of Disney‘s Aladdin at the Meralco Theater. Thanks to Metrodeal I was seated on the orchestra side, second row from the stage. 🙂

The King and I Review

Resorts World Manila is staging Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I. I was able to watch it last November and it was a fantastic show.

The role of the King and Anna was played by the alternates, Bo Cerrudo and Sheila Valderama respectively. Although I have not seen the show with the main actor and actress (Leo Valdez and Monique Wilson), I think the alternates were as equally good. They have done a good job.

The Apartment Style Edition

I was switching channel trying to land on a good and worthwhile tv show when I stumbled upon The Apartment. I was switching channel trying to land on a good and worthwhile tv show when I stumbled upon The Apartment. It is not your average interior design show. Its an all out style battle that will drive our eight couples to the extremes of their creativity, ability and sanity, to secure the winning spot and become the proud owner of a Luxury condo.

Letter in the Wallet

I want to share an amazing, powerful, and touching story in Reader’s Digest. It’s called ‘Letter in the Wallet‘ by Arnold Fine, a classic story published in the September 1980 issue of the Reader’s Digest. A reader requested for the story to be republished and I’m so glad she did.

Painting Again

I’m no artist but I like paintings. I also couldn’t say I’m an art expert. To be honest, I really don’t find anything extraordinary in the work of arts considered great by our society like the paintings of Van Gogh. They seem overrated to me.

DLSU thesis

Oh My Thesis!

Second term is about to end and I am not progressing in my thesis. I know I’m supposed to work on it instead of writing about it but I need to take a break from it.

My Style Statement Inspired by The Ramp Crossings

Graceful, refined, chic, poised, and uncomplicated. These are the things I’m taking into consideration when buying an apparel. I like clothes that are uniquely stylish, the ones that do not need to shout to capture the attention of the onlooker. I like subtle chic design if I may call it that.

Spooktacular at the Office

Below are some of the pictures of me and my friends during the annual trick or treat event at the office. I just wanted to showcase the costumes we have sewn. I know that for most people Halloween is supposed to be spooky but we just don’t want to scare the kids.

My First Sewing Project: Peacock-Inspired Outfit

I was inspired by Anna O Byrne’s performance in Love Never Dies so I decided to wear a peacock-inspired outfit on the annual trick or treat event in office. I and my friends, Jayjay and Kerie, also decided to make our costumes a sewing project. So a few days before the Spooktacular we went to Fabric Warehouse and Carolinas to get supplies.

My Style Statement Inspired by The Ramp Crossings

I like simple and clean patterns yet I am also drawn to elaborate and intricate things. I like to be noticed for my chic-ness and individuality. I like clothes with uncommon design and with a hint of femininity in them. That is why I like shopping in The Ramp Crossings. They offer great selections of extraordinary clothings and accessories, a style that is out of the ordinary and at the same time clean and stylish.

Love Never Dies

Love Never Dies

Just watched the filmed stage production of the sequel to Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s The Phantom of the Opera, Love Never Dies, and now I want to watch it staged live! It was spectacular as The Phantom of the Opera. I fell in love the song.

All Good Things Must Come To An End

The Phantom of the Opera in Manila will close on October 14. It is an excellent show and the people of Manila will surely miss the powerful voice of the phantom. However, I must admit that I’m also quite excited and intrigued on the next musicals to be staged in CCP.
