A team of explorers claim to have found the remains of Noah’s Ark 12,000ft up a Turkish mountain.

Specimen samples taken from the discovered structure on Mount Ararat underwent carbon testing and linked to the time, 4,800 years, after the vessel was said to be afloat.

“It is not 100 percent that it is Noah’s Ark but we think it is 99.9 percent that this is it,” said Yeung Wing-cheung, a Hong Kong documentary filmaker who is also a member of the Noah’s Ark International.

He furthre explained that the structure had several compartments, some with wooden beams, which were believed to house animals.

However, despite various claims no scientific evidence has ever been found.

In the story from the Bible, God decided to flood the earth after seing how corrupt people had become. He told Noah to build an ark and fill it with two of every animal species. After the great flood, the Holy Book says that the ark came to rest on a mountain.
