
A storm that hit Rio de Janeiro has killed 175 people according to the local fire department of the state.
Colonel Paulo Machado, head of the fire department, have little hope of finding more survivors but said they will continue the rescue operation.
“It is very hard to find survivors in such mudslides,” he said. “But hope is still there, and we will keep on working with hope.”
The storm that ravaged the state causes floods and mudslides that have injured 161 people and left 15000 people homeless.
