
Finland’s Kakslauttanen Igloo Village, in Urho Kekkonen National Park is the perfect place to spend your winter vacation and admire the Aurora Borealis. The hotel is located in the northern part of the country and is acclaimed as one of the coziest and most romantic place in the world.
Travelers have three options at the hotel – Snow Igloos, Glass Igloos, and Log Cabins.
Snow Igloos are built to fit one to five people. It is literally like sleeping inside a room made of snow. While temperature outside may be alarmingly cold at below -30C, all facilities are provided indoors to keep you warm and cozy. The temperature inside ranges between -3 and -6 C. Warm down sleeping bags, woolen socks and hood are provided. The ice itself illuminates the igloo.

Glass Igloo is a warmer alternative. They are made of a special thermal variety of glass so normal room temperature is maintained indoors. The glass never frosts allowing a clear view of the beautiful sights outside. Glass igloos are furnished with luxury beds and toilets, and can accommodate a maximum of two people.

Log Cabins, on the other hand, are for those who like their privacy. Each cabin comes with its own shower/toilet, kitchenette, sauna and fireplace.
